2013 IASIR Conference – Québec City, Québec, Nov. 13-15

The Quebec Bureau de la Sécurité Privée will host the 2013 Conference of the International Association of Security and Investigative Regulators Nov. 13-15 (Nov. 12 Board meeting) in North America's most European city, historic Québec.

The venue for the event is Loews Hôtel Le Concorde in the heart of the Old City, a mini Paris along the Grand Allee, where quaint bistros, lively outdoor terraces and trendy nightclubs are all within walking distance. Narrow cobbled streets, stone homes, ramparts and cannons contribute to the old-world charm that permeates every square inch of the city, and add to that the natural beauty of nearby parks and rooms overlooking the St. Lawrence River. Conference luncheons will be served at the famous L’Astral, the unique rooftop revolving restaurant that sits atop the hotel, offering the best panoramic view of Québec as well as traditional French cuisine.

A block of rooms has been set aside for IASIR at a discounted rate of $139/CDN per night (approximately $139/US with the current dollar to dollar exchange rate). Rooms will be available at this rate three days prior to the conference and three days after. (See the hotel Web site at www.loewshotels.com/Quebec-City-Hotel.)

Make reservations online at www.loewshotels.com/en/Quebec-City-Hotel/GroupPages/IASIR, or call Loews Reservations Center at 800/463-5256 and identify yourself as an IASIR conference participant. To receive the special rate, reservations must be made by Wednesday, Oct. 16. The hotel may not offer the conference rate after this date.

The Jean-Lesage International Airport is 15-20 minutes from the hotel and cab fare is approximately $35 (one way).

IMPORTANT: If you are a U.S. citizen, you are required to bring your passport or an equivalent travel document when traveling to Canada. Although you will not be asked to present your passport or documentation to Canadian officials when entering Canada, you will be asked to show it to U.S. officials when re-entering the U.S. Travel documents acceptable for re-entry into the U.S. include an enhanced driver’s license (EDL), a passport card and a NEXUS, SENTRI or FAST card.

Make plans now to meet your IASIR colleagues in Québec. For more information, contact the IASIR office, 888/354-2747 or contact@iasir.org.
