IASIR's committees are the heart and soul of the association. Committee meetings are a central part of the annual conference, and it is in those meetings where the work of the association is done. To get involved, just come to a meeting and participate!

Bylaws/Ethics Committee
Charles McDarris, phone 919/828-0731, email cmcdarris@bdixon.com

The Bylaws/Ethics Committee is charged with the responsibility for drafting, amending and enforcing IASIR's bylaws.

Legislation Committee
Louis Gurvich (U.S. legislation), phone 504/525-7115, email LouGurvich@aol.com

Jon Herberman (Canadian legislation), phone 416/326-0031, email jon.herberman@ontario.ca

The Legislation Committee has two functions: drafting model legislation for regulation of the industries covered by IASIR; and reviewing proposed state/provincial and federal laws and encouraging the best practices as identified by the association.

Nomination and Membership Committee
Wayne Rogillio, phone 225/272-2310, ext. 20, email janeryland19@lsbpse.com

The Nomination and Membership Committee administers the biennial election process for IASIR’s Board of Directors and actively solicits new membership for the association.

Program Committee
Marie Ohman, phone 651/793-2666, email marie.ohman@state.mn.us

The program committee works with local conference hosts to recruit speakers and plan the content and structure of each meeting. Programming decisions are guided by member comments and recommendations gathered via post-meeting evaluation forms.

Reciprocity Committee
Wayne Rogillio, phone 225/272-2310, ext. 20, email janeryland19@lsbpse.com

The Reciprocity Committee's goal is to increase interstate reciprocity of licensing requirements, so that a license obtained in one state will apply in others.

Training and Education Committee
Peggy Anderson, phone 302/672-5304, email peggy.anderson@state.de.us

Kim Karbon-Sines, phone 602/223-2120, email kkarbon-sines@azdps.gov

The Training and Education Committee focuses on specific state and provincial requirements for training, testing and experience, and looks at research to determine best practices. The committee has drafted standards that have been incorporated into IASIR model laws through the Legislation Committee.
